Neuronox Botox 100/200u is a Botulinum toxin A complex purified from Clostridium botulinum, manufactured by Medy-Tox® in Korea. Their dosage form is injectable and its appearance is a white lyophilized cake.
Botulinum toxins including Neuronox® block neuromuscular transmission to the receptor sites on the motor nerve endings, enter the nerve endings and inhibit the release of acetylcholine.
Mainly used in anti-wrinkle cosmetics worldwide, botulinum toxin type A has been used for various indications such as hemifascial spasm, blepharospasm and cervical dystonia

This inhibition occurs when the neurotoxin cleaves SNAP-25, a protein component that successfully binds to and releases acetylcholine from vesicles located in nerve endings.
